JOHN DUNLOP

John focuses on development and finance at Countryside Renewables. He is the founder of Countryside Renewables and has spent the past decade developing solar and battery projects. Prior to Countryside, he headed the Renewable Energy Finance team at a German bank in London, structuring and lead-arranging debt and mezzanine finance for over EUR 1.5 billion of solar and wind projects located across Europe. These included offshore wind farms, onshore wind farms, solar projects and biomass projects and serving on the boards of two renewable energy companies. Prior to commercial banking, John spent nearly a decade in investment banking raising equity for energy and technology companies and advising institutional equity funds on their investments. John holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the London School of Economics, a BA in Economics, a BA in Humanities, is a CFA Charterholder and speaks decent Spanish. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, sailing and skiing with his wife and children.
