DENIS GROSS

Dr Denis Gross focuses on development and energy technology solutions at Countryside. He has a background in physics (Imperial College, London) and engineering science (DPhil Oxford). He started his career working extensively in the global electronics industry, with a special focus on the worldwide semiconductor sector. He later moved into finance, where he spent 10 years in investment banking, including participation in a number of IPOs including ST Microelectronics and Telecom Italia, and he advised equity funds on their technology investments as an equity analyst at the ING Group. He has been engaged in a broad spectrum of energy related projects including fuel cells (PEM and solid oxide), electrolysers, ultracapacitors, concentrated PV, power to gas (green hydrogen and ammonia), and battery and flywheel energy storage technologies. He has been involved with Countryside Renewables since shortly after its inception, and is focussing on energy-plus opportunities for renewables, including EV charging. In his free time he enjoys engaging with his rowing clubs, country events, and visiting family in Italy.
